Food Bank Program

RHS promotes healthy eating and equitable food distribution with our Food & Family Programs. Those programs include the Crescent City Certified Farmer’s Market, food bank, emergency food program that help RHS provide families in the surrounding communities with healthy eating options.

During the holiday season, Santa’s Workshop supplies qualified families with Christmas presents donated by the Del Norte community, to make sure every child has a special holiday.

Food Distribution

Food distribution is the 3rd full week of each month. Commodities are distributed once a month. Currently all that is required for a person to receive food is to present a California photo ID and self-certify on site, that they are income eligible.

This month’s next Food Bank is at the following locations and times:

Emergency Food Boxes are available on Tuesdays 10am-12pm &  1pm-3pm (except for the week of monthly food distribution). Household verification is required, such as a Passport to Services from Department of Health and Human Services (available at our office).
